His natural coordination and passion for performance led him to a full-time position at Disney after high school, where he performed in parades and special events while earning a degree in hospitality management from the University of Central Florida. This experience laid the foundation for his future endeavors in the performing arts.
After honing his skills at Disney, Sam ventured to New York City, where he expanded his repertoire by working in various high-profile productions, including the West Side Story national tour and the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. His time in New York, along with stints in Tokyo Disneyland and Princess Cruises, enriched his understanding of entertainment dance and fueled his desire to share this knowledge with others.
Founding Twirl: A Leap of Faith
In 2016, Sam took a significant leap of faith by moving his family from Orlando to Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, to establish Twirl. With limited knowledge of the area, Sam and his family relied on their belief in the vision of creating a dance studio that would focus on entertainment dance styles seen in venues like Disney World, Broadway, and cruise ships. Twirl was designed to provide high-quality training for students aspiring to careers in entertainment dance, as well as for those who simply wanted to enjoy the art form.

Sam explains that while the class schedule might resemble those of other studios, the approach at Twirl is different.
