Podcasts are one of the strongest ways a brand or individual can build their reputation online, by sharing valuable information with their target audience and building authority. We think of podcasts as being audio-only, but its roots were in video, as well. Today you can think of a podcast as any regularly syndicated, long-form piece of content (audio or video) and includes distribution and consumption on YouTube, FAST (Free, Ad-Supported Streaming Services), or specialized platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and iHeart Media.

Virtually all social media platforms have prioritized short-form video. Social media content should start with a hook and end with a call to action, and needs to be short and to-the-point. It often times is part of a larger strategy or campaign, with a focus on volume. Social media has upended traditional video production techniques – as statistics show that “lower quality” videos – actually perform better. Since users on platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and other products like to engage with other users (not necessarily big brand with high production budgets). That said, it all depends on your goals and who your target audience is.
